Basalt Stone Tiles
by Pono Stone
This volcanic stone has been used in architecture for centuries.
Basalts are rich in magnesium, feldspar, pyroxene and iron, with hints of olivine and amphibole; all of which are siliceous materials similar to those in a granite. Although basalt has the durability of a granite, they tend to have the consistent coloration, markings and subtlety of a limestone.
Pono Stone has many sizes and finishes available, our craftsmen have modern machinery to delivery a natural product for a unique look for your design.
