The revitalization of the International Market Place reestablished the area as a hub for gathering, dining and entertainment in Waikiki. History and culture are woven throughout the architecture with flowing water features, lush landscaping and an iconic banyan that is more than a century old. It features around 75 retailers, including Hawaii’s first Saks Fifth Avenue, and outdoor seating at seven signature restaurants.
Pono Stone supplied all the natural cut Puka Lava stone that edges the pathways, walls and landscaping features including the base of the stunning garden pool. The dramatic coloured flagstone paths that anchor the centre's overall design are Quartzite, featured in three colour blends that offer a mixture of golds, greens & blues.
Pono Stone worked directly with the contractor and architect to supply the high quality natural stone in the large quantity required for this stunning resort.
